Free publication of a limited number of Open Access articles (using tokens) for corresponding authors from institutions that are members of the CzechELib consortium.
You can also check your institution’s eligibility to use tokens for free OA publishing on the publisher’s website.
Eligible journals: Open Select journals, a list of which can be found here.
Publication types: Article, Review, Research Article, Review Article, Report, Short Communication, Case Report, Note, Original Article, Guest Editorial
Contract duration: 1 January 2023 - 31 December 2025
We recommend contacting your library and enquiring about the possibility of using tokens (the number of tokens for each institution is limited) before submitting the article.
The actions necessary to apply the tokens are performed only after the article is accepted for publication.
We recommend that libraries confirm/reject the eligibility to use a token within five business days of being notified of a newly received article.
The eligibility of the article to use a token via the RD will be confirmed after the APA is signed (the author signs the APA and selects the OA publication method before confirming eligibility in the RD):
1. You received an email about the receipt of an article before, the article was confirmed in the RD:

3. You receive an email with confirmation of the request to use a token:
4. The library receives an email requesting confirmation of the eligibility to use a token.
5a. The library confirms the eligibility of the article to use the token:
NOTE: If the library in point 5 rejects the eligibility of the article, you will receive an email about the rejection of the use of a token for free publication and a proposal about other funding possibilities:
5b. You receive an email about the receipt of the article and its eligibility for free publication:
6. The article is published Open Access in the selected title.
